Dear Sir

After reading today’s article ‘Furbert may seek to outlaw same sex marriage’, it is just incredible to me, and probably many others, that we had a Tourism Minister as blind as Wayne Furbert.

Forget the fact that many countries in the western world are all heading for gay marriage rights, but as a past Tourism Minister was it not his job to get as many tourists here as possible, especially ones with money?

This Island is in a state of crisis concerning debit, the gay community is wealthy, and they would come to our beautiful Island in droves to be married. Hiring taxi drivers, florists, event planners, filling hotels with friends and family, using cell phones, taking tours etc etc etc. The monetary return on this one simple change of law would be amazing and if this past Tourism Minister cannot see this then he should be taken out of Parliament and never heard from again.
