Dear Sir,

Regarding the new development at Pink Beach.

I cannot believe how the Planning Department can approve of the new owner being granted exclusive use of the East Beach on the property.

I have snorkelled at many locations all over the world, including The Barrier Reef in Australia, Tahiti, Fiji, Hawaii etc, and the snorkelling off the East Beach at Pink Beach is equal to most places and superior to many because there is live coral just offshore.

I was a tennis professional for 25 years at Pink Beach and regularly took guests for snorkelling trips off this beach. It is great snorkelling all the way out to and including the outer reef. Most of the guests told me these trips were the highlight of their visit.

One guest was in her mid-seventies. She stayed three months each year and we went snorkelling each time she came.
