Dear Sir,

It constantly annoys me to see the PLP criticising the OBA’s spending and their constant scrutiny of anything the OBA does.

Did we have any say in the greatest foreign affairs debacle when the former Premier brought four Guantánamo detainees here?

Did we have any transparency when a PLP minister and staff flew to Africa to attend a conference. Were they even registered to attend?

Those mad days when the candy jar seemed to be bottomless are soon forgotten by the arrogant self righteous champions of the masses.

We have the loud chomping at the bit about the spouses of Bermudians getting jobs that “real” Bermudians should be getting, while I notice loud silence about the obvious West Indian accents of union leaders fighting for more jobs for Bermudians. How did they come by their Bermuda-ness? By status or by marriage. Selective xenophobia.

The most basic way to success is to be patriotic and devoted to the welfare and success of one’s native land. Now is not the time to have this testy opposition with short term memory loss. If they truly loved their country they would be working to get us out of the hole they dug.

America buckled down and saved money when they had their recession and made sacrifices. They did not whine and refuse to do anything to help recovery.
