To see Zane DeSilva explaining to the investigative reporter from ZBM on the Wednesday news (May 6) how taxpayers’ and workers’ dollars should be spent to boost our tourist product, was great.

It made the heart glow with pride.

Essentially he asked why more money was not spent and cited several Caribbean destinations.

To his credit he did not suggest going back to Brown’s favourite agency — was it Global Hue?

He had an answer to cutting spending on tourism — take money from somewhere else.

Wow! I was stunned — so simple.

Just like that the chief honcho in the Port Royal spendfest came up with the answer.

I congratulate him.
