Grim spectre of consumerism
Sunrises just aren’t what they used to be: they are the spectre of our consumerism.
The yellow smear is not being belched from the chimney of the house in the foreground, but from the Belco stack on the distant shore.
Time to cut back on everything.
More solar power means more clear sunlight.
And one must wonder what we are drinking these days — not something a little boiling will cure.
