We cannot resolve our differences by violence, but by love

Dear Sir,

“Heart-to-Heart” Marriage Mentoring Ministries offers its prayerful support to the families and friends of those victims tragically murdered in Orlando.

We share the revulsion for this savage and murderous act of depraved indifference for humanity with all right-thinking people everywhere.

We mourn and empathise with the families left to endure unspeakable grief.

This senseless act of violence should never be condoned or tolerated in our world society, for God commands that we must love our neighbour as ourselves.

We pray also that those in our world and local communities who resort to violence or hate speech as an expression of their disapproval or beliefs will have a change of heart, mind and soul.

We cannot resolve our differences by violence, but by love — God’s love.

If God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. (1 John 4:11)

To that end, the families and friends of the “Orlando Massacre” victims are in our thoughts and prayers.
