Well, I never thought it would disappear
Dear Sir,
I am a regular reader of The Royal Gazette over many years. There is “positive” and “negative” RG news printed and published online that I read daily.
Of course, not all that is printed I like, but I pick the good and have kept reading.
These stories catch my eye: your front-page pictures, the Young Observer, the grocers' and bulk sellers' “food specials”, environment and renewable energy, new businesses, uplifting stories about my Bermudian people — especially my black Bermudian people and seniors, Black History Month stories in February, labour stories, government and political stories, and sport.
More of these positive stories would be better. The negative stories are real. I don't particularly like them, but accept they should go in the paper.
I was amazed when the “Well I Never” column stopped. I regularly read them. Most were positive and brought a smile to my face. Kind of odd some were, too. Why stop them? I want them back!
