Mightily inspired by Mary Prince conference
Dear Sir,
On the weekend of August 8 to 10, I had the distinct pleasure of attending the Mary Prince Entrepreneurial and Leadership Conference — an event that continues to leave a lasting mark on all who participate. I must commend Dana Selassie and her exceptional team for once again delivering a well-organised, impactful and inspiring conference. Their dedication, vision and flawless execution are evident in every detail.
Having attended last year’s conference, I knew without question that this year’s gathering would be unmissable. While the content and theme were refreshingly different, the essence remained the same: a space brimming with wisdom, empowerment and genuine connection.
The extraordinary speaker, Ibukun Awosika, was nothing short of unforgettable — as expected. Her depth of experience and ability to share her journey with grace and power resonated throughout the room. Women from all walks of life sat, captivated — pens poised, hearts open — eager to absorb every word of insight and encouragement she offered.
I left the conference filled to the brim with inspiration, practical knowledge and a renewed sense of purpose. Events such as these are not just valuable; they are essential. They create opportunities for networking, mentorship and the sharing of ideas that can ignite real change in Bermuda and beyond.
I strongly encourage any woman — and indeed anyone — seeking to grow, connect and be inspired to attend next year’s conference. Bermuda needs more spaces such as this, where men and women alike can come together to learn, lead and lift each other higher.
