Dear Sir,

I have visited your island with my family many times before, and I think Bermuda is one of the most beautiful places in the world.

I love your wonderful stores and shops on Front Street, where I always get my Gosling’s rum when I visit, and I love the government buildings and history of the Church Street area.

And I think it is quite wonderful that Bermuda has somewhat of a new governor who was sworn in last year: Andrew Murdoch.

Mr Murdoch was appointed the Governor of Bermuda on September 2024 and sworn in in January 2025. Mr Murdoch is from the United Kingdom, and he worked as a barrister and also served as a commissioned officer in the Royal Navy.

In his inauguration speech in January last year, he said that he would be "approachable and accessible" to the Bermuda people and that he wanted to work with the Bermuda Government to make their Island a better place.

In a recent interview with The Royal Gazette, Mr Murdoch reflected on the September 11, 2001, attacks while serving in the Royal Navy at Portsmouth.

He recalled the shock of how a lot of people got messed up in New York during this taxing situation on the US economy and truly horrendous terrorist attack in history.

I think Mr Murdoch is doing a great job as the Governor of Bermuda. And I think he is serving the Bermuda people well in this position. And in time, Andrew Murdoch will join the ranks in history as one of the greatest governors of Bermuda.
