Bermuda Gas plans to move showroom to Serpentine Road

Bermuda Gas general manager Judith Uddin

Bermuda Gas is set to leave its showroom and bill payment centre on Church Street by the end of the year. The company plans to move into a custom designed new showroom on Serpentine Road, Pembroke, which will have indoor and outdoor working kitchens to demonstrate its appliances and products along with working fireplaces.Bermuda Gas already has its distribution plant and other offices on Serpentine Road.A sister company to Belco, and owned by the Ascendant Group, Bermuda Gas plans to make the move in November if construction is complete.“When the new space is finished it will be quite a showcase, where we will also be able to hold different restaurant and corporate-type events,” said general manager of Bermuda Gas Judith Uddin. “You will actually be able to see how our products work.”Bermuda Gas has been in the Church Street location for several years and Ms Uddin said the aim has always been to bring the company together at one location.FedEx Bermuda had occupied the warehouse it is moving into up until last year.“We had found it’s not feasible to be at separate locations as a company and that we don’t communicate well like that,” Ms Uddin said. She said Bermuda Gas plans to eventually have just a bill payment kiosk in the city centre which will be shared with other Ascendant Group companies.
