The winter months do hold some perks for locals — who now have a chance to experience the high life at award-winning resorts in Bermuda at a fraction of the regular cost.The Reefs Resort in Southampton is opening up their Club residences to locals in January and February, offering more than a 70 percent discount on their two and three-bedroom condos.For less than $300 per night, residents can enjoy high-end accommodations overlooking the South Shore with a jetted spa, oversized bathroom and a gourmet kitchen.For $275 per night on Saturdays and Sundays and $299 per night from Sunday-Thursday (not inclusive of taxes), guests can also enjoy the owners’ lounge, infinity-edge pool, fitness centre and a putting green.Six additional resorts are participating in the 50 percent off ‘Pink Sale’ for those locals and overseas travellers who book between January 23 and February 3, though the offer is valid for travel from January 24 through May 7, 2013. The limited-time promotion, which comes with a three-night minimum stay, is available at Fairmont Hamilton Princess, Fairmont Southampton Hotel, Grotto Bay Beach Hotel, Newstead Belmont Hills, Cambridge Beaches and the Royal Palms.
