CableVision: $25 credit if cable guy’s not on time

Call it cliché if you will, but “waiting for the cable guy” (or any other type of technician) can be a sort of annoying and time-consuming reality in Bermuda.

But Bermuda CableVision has announced it’s working to put a stop to that for its customers, giving them more reliable appointment windows — guaranteed.

Calling it a “new phase” in the company’s “ongoing commitment to providing excellent customer service, CableVision yesterday announced it is introducing a new “On-Time Guarantee”.

Under the new programme, if a new or existing customer sets up an appointment with CableVision, a technician will arrive within the designated time frame or the customer will receive a $25 credit.

The company will give customers a four or four and a half-hour window during which the technician will show up or the customer will automatically receive a $25 credit to their account.

Early appointment windows will be from 8:30am to 1pm and afternoon windows from 1pm to 5pm.

“We have been taking numerous steps to improve our customer service, with more training of our associates, and improvements across the board in processes, procedures and even in our overall way of thinking of customer service,” said Terry Roberson, general manager of Bermuda CableVision.

“The entire CableVision team is behind this companywide effort to step up our commitment and show our customers that we are serious about providing them with excellent service.”

“Our goal of being among the top providers of customer service in Bermuda is one that we work on every day,” said Mike Jones, plant manager at Bermuda CableVision.

“We know how important good service is to our customers and we’ll never stop striving to go above and beyond for them.”

On Time, Guaranteed: CableVision says its technicians will be at your door within a specified window or customers will be credited.
