QuoVadis says it is now providing Global Certification Authority services with global company Thales e-Security.It has deployed Thales nShield hardware security modules together with Thales Time Stamp Server to secure the operation of its high volume commercial CA and deliver the assurance and reliability of service required by both clients and auditors.QuoVadis digital certificates and signature services are used to support high value applications that are subject to stringent security requirements and audit regimes. The company is accredited as a Qualified Trust Service Provider (TSP) in multiple European countries and issues eIDs under the Swiss SuisseID and Dutch PKI Overheid programmes.Barry Kilborn, head of risk management at QuoVadis said: “Our business is focused on creating trusted internet identities and digital signature solutions on valuable transactions. Our customers need our solutions to deliver high assurance and absolute trust and Thales HSMs are fundamental to that trust.“Hardware, however, is only part of the story. One of our top priorities was to find a provider who not only had in-depth knowledge of the technology but also of the businesses in which the technology operates and Thales delivers with both the dependable technology and responsive services.”Cindy Provin, president Thales e-Security commented: “The CA business is all about trust and that trust is based on the integrity of a CAs operations. When you add an nShield HSM to your PKI you are deploying a high assurance, independently certified, tamper-resistant device that is used to secure some of the most sensitive keys and business process within an organisation. Thales is particularly proud to provide the level of assurance and reliability required by QuoVadis that enables them to deliver the assurance and reliability their business demands.”
