The Bermuda branch of the Institute of Directors (IoD Bermuda) has almost doubled its membership, and now they are holding an awareness meeting today for those people who already hold a directorship and for those who aspire to the become a director.The organisation was relaunched six months ago, and since then membership has risen from 46 to 89 members. Its role is to further educate directors in the Bermuda business community about the benefits of belonging to this UK-based organisation and the associated Bermuda branch.Roger Gillett, IoD Bermuda chairman, said: “Membership is the lifeblood of any organisation and since we revitalised the Institute of Directors Bermuda branch in January 2013, we have been active in holding educational and networking events for our members.“Directors running companies today have a lot of demand placed on them and are expected to perform at a professional level.
