Lunch sessions focus on PR and communications

Troncossi Public Relations is to reveal some tips and strategies that businesses can use to reach customers through public relations promotion and social media.

The Hamilton-based company has organised a three-part lunchtime series, to begin this Friday, that will cover topics such as sales and marketing budgets, crisis communications and personal PR.

The series is part of the Chamber of Commerce’s Lunch & Learn sessions and will be held at the Chamber’s offices on Point Pleasant Road.

“In today’s new economy, companies need to control their expenses while still getting the most from their outreach to customers in a cost-effective way,” said Elizabeth Tee, managing director at Troncossi Public Relations.

“We are excited to share some tips and tricks of the trade with businesses and show them how a combination of traditional PR and online marketing can be integrated for maximum benefit.”

Kendaree Burgess, executive director, Chamber of Commerce, said: “Chamber members want to remain on top of evolving business issues and our Lunch & Learn sessions are designed to help them do that.

The cost for Chamber members is $10, or $20 including lunch. For non-members the cost os $40, which includes lunch. The sessions from 12 noon until 2pm

This Friday’s session is entitled “How PR can make the most of sales & marketing budgets”.

On July 10 there will be a session entitled “Crisis communications”, and the final session, on October 20, is entitled “Personal PR”.
