A Southampton couple have launched a new online party rental supply business.

Talia and Rohaan Simons saw a niche in the market and started Castle Masters, which offer a selection of exciting themes and colourful fun castle options at affordable rates for enjoyment by children and adults alike.

The Castle Masters tagline is “Inflate the Fun” — something Mr Simons saw as the perfect way to describe the business, which aims to provide entertainment for children for hours at a time.

The business currently provides seven fun castles in a variety of sizes, styles and themes. The Simonses also have plans to expand their offerings as they continue to grow where they see a demand.

Since their soft launch last month, the business has already gained some traction through word of mouth and social media platforms.

“So far we have had quite a lot of interest and bookings, and we have been so appreciative of the warm welcome from others in this industry who offer advice or even reach out if they are booked and recommend us to clients. We are thrilled with the response so far and just want to continue to grow our profile in the community and within the party and event space,” said Mr Simons.

The inspiration came from the pair’s passion for throwing parties and hosting events for their two young daughters, age 2 and 10. Over the years they had rented fun castles and other party supplies for various events — and decided that starting their own business was the next logical step.

“We talked about what we wanted to do and had so much support from family and friends. The feedback we received was so encouraging and is what prompted us to start researching and planning for about a year before officially getting started,” Mrs Simons said.

“We also saw this as something exciting we could do together as a family unit. There is much work involved in running a small business, but the rewards far outweigh the sacrifice.

“We are able to teach our children about hard work and determination, and they get so excited when we have bookings come in. The children help us prepare the castles and plan for the weekend’s bookings. It’s a great family activity and another way for us to bond.”

The couple believes what sets them apart is ensuring the customer’s experience is a positive one from start to finish. “We enjoy being able to be a part of people’s events and our goal is to make the booking process easy with our website which allows you to see all of the castles we have to offer and even lets customers book online,” Mrs Simons said.

“We have some castles that we are really excited about as we tried to bring in a few options that we hadn’t seen in Bermuda before like our football-shaped castle and some combo castles that have jumping space and slides, which the children all seem to enjoy. All vendors offer something different to the market and we are just excited that our products can help make people’s events that much more memorable,” said Mr Simons.
