Marcus’ launches ‘Brunch Revolution’

A favourite Bermudian pastime has been given a new lease of life with the launch of the Brunch Revolution at the Hamilton Princess and Beach Club.

Diners at Marcus’ can experience international eating styles when a dim sum cart tours the tables and tacos are tailor-made by a chef with a spread of fillings.

It was hoped the revamped offering would create a lively but relaxing atmosphere for customers, who will still find their favourite breakfast and lunch items on the buffet.

Marcus Samuelsson, the renowned chef at the helm of the restaurant, said: “Brunch should be delicious, fun and easy, which is exactly what we had in mind when creating the new Brunch Revolution menu.

“You’ve got all your favourite local dishes and ingredients, plus cool, interactive ways to enjoy brunch like a taco station and dim sum trolley.

“We hope everyone comes in to try it and spend a relaxed morning with us.”

The dim sum cart carries finger food like beef wonton, duck shu mai and sliders, as well as cornbread and devilled eggs.

Diners can select from different meat options to fill their tortillas at the taco station and are offered a range of toppings and sauces to add the finishing touches.

The more typical brunch items include dishes like chicken and waffles as well as mac’n’cheese, while the salad options are plenty and varied.

A spokeswoman for the resort said: “To top it all off, you can kick back and listen to the soothing sounds of local band The Big Chill as you enjoy a lazy Sunday overlooking Hamilton Harbour.”
