Two Rock closes store, starts deliveries

Drinks and speciality food retailer Two Rock Wines is operating a same-day delivery service after closing its Paget warehouse and shop due to the Covid-19 pandemic.Two Rock co-owner Mathew Macdonald said the Harvey Road outlet will remain closed to the public “until we get a better grip on what is going on” with Covid-19 in Bermuda.He said there has been a “surge in orders” since the outlet’s closure was featured on Two Rock’s social media channels, and communicated to clients by e-mail.Mr Macdonald said: “We wanted to keep our team healthy, our customers healthy, and our community healthy and stay operating as long as we can depending on what happens.“In unprecedented times such as this, we wanted to make the right decision. It’s pretty scary out there so we want to be extra safe.”Mr Macdonald said Two Rock remains fully staffed, and is busy processing orders made by phone, by e-mail, or via the company’s website.Mr Macdonald said: “We are lucky to have a platform that is operational so that we can keep things ticking over that way. We want to keep operational and keep people working until we can’t.”Two Rock is an importer, wholesaler and retailer of wine, beer and spirits, and also carries a food line that includes olive oils, sauces, mustards, pestos, vinegars, pasta, chocolate and snack foods.Two Rock has a website at www.tworockwines.com
