Customers have been assured that the shop 59 Front is open for business.The ground floor premises on Front Street was previously operated by AS Cooper until September when the lease, inventory and staff was taken by Brown & Co, a subsidiary of The Phoenix Stores Ltd. The store was renamed 59 Front.Following last month’s announcement of the provisional liquidation of the AS Cooper retail business, Brown & Co has acted to assure customers that 59 Front is not affected and is open for business.Nicole Warren, general manager of Brown & Co, said: “Unfortunately, with news circulating regarding the closure of ASC stores, there is some confusion about operations at the 59 Front Street location. 59 Front is indeed open for business with new and exciting items arriving weekly.”The 7,500 sq ft ground floor store offers exclusive brands in jewellery and accessories, china and crystal, home and gifts, designer fragrances and beauty and cosmetics. It also has available an in-store personal shopper service.Ms Warren added: “The Phases of Covid-19 forced us to retail differently. During this period, we allowed customers to ring in or e-mail order requests for collection resulting in a unique customer service experience which our customers appreciated and enjoyed.“As such, we extended the e-mail order service to accommodate those vulnerable, unwilling to shop the new normal or wish to avail of a personal shopper experience.
