One Communications staff raise $6,000 for Relay for Life
Employees of One Communications have raised $6,000 in support of Relay For Life Bermuda.
The company said staff raised the money by walking, running, biking, and swimming 200 miles.
One Communications said the initiative, which began on May 24, originally challenged participants to cover 100 miles in two weeks, a target that was reached before the end of week one.
Relay For Life Bermuda raises awareness and funds to support access to cancer prevention, early detection, treatment, and support provided by the Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre.
Frank Amaral, chief executive officer of One Communications, said: “We are extremely proud of our team and their dedication to support Relay For Life.
“The 200 miles demonstrates our commitment to walk hand in hand with those affected by cancer and raise awareness about the importance of early detection.”
