Internship for engineering student

William Welch has completed a second 12-week internship at engineering company iEPC Limited as part of his university engineering programme.

Mr Welch, who will soon return to school, is a second year mechanical engineering student at the University of Waterloo in Canada.

He secured the opportunity of an internship in Bermuda rather than the traditional programmes available in Canada.

iEPC said it is involved in many areas of engineering including mechanical, structural, civil, electrical, and environmental engineering.

The internship involves shadowing different engineers at iEPC and watching what they do and how they do it, in addition to helping on projects, such as performing survey work and data analysis, the company said.
