The Bermuda Economic Development Corporation will hold a Lunch & Learn to help entrepreneurs better understand how to prepare for financing from both traditional banks and the BEDC.

The event will take place on tomorrow, May 13, from 12.15pm to 1.30pm at the BEDC Training Room at 1st floor, Sofia House, 48 Church Street.

Seating is limited and advance registration is required. The cost to attend is $25 and includes lunch and light refreshments.

The session will walk attendees through ten key areas that influence the strength of a cashflow schedule, an essential part of any successful funding application.

“Access to funding continues to be one of the most common challenges entrepreneurs face,” said Chelsea Warren, business development officer at BEDC. “This session is about helping entrepreneurs understand what lenders are looking for and how to present their financials in a way that builds credibility.”

In addition to funding applications, the session will explore how financial statements connect and how business owners can better manage and plan their cashflow.

The goal is to help local entrepreneurs leave with a better understanding of how to build a funding-ready business.
