Caisey dominates at Southside
Shannon Caisey was the biggest winner during weekend karting at Southside Raceway.Caisey made a clean sweep in the 125cc Shifter Class after winning all three heats contested for in trying conditions.Elsewhere, David Barbosa stepped up his bid for glory in the TAG Senior Class.He posted three podium finishes that included victory in the day’s second heat to grab a share of the overall lead with Scott Barnes in the TAG Senior Class Championship points standings.Both drivers currently have 599 points with Stephen Corrado - who also had a win on Sunday 72 points adrift of the leaders in third.Barnes only managed one win in the TAG Senior Class which arrived in the day’s opening heat.He currently leads the 125cc Shifter Class by 90 points over nearest rival Corrado.Ryan Lopes won two of the three heats in the Junior Stock Clone Class (10-15 years). Lopes currently leads the Junior Modified Clone Class by a healthy margin over sole rival Zanardi Daley while Blake Horseman leads the Junior Stock Clone Class (10-15 years).Zavier Smith was the only driver that competed in the Junior Modified Clone Class (10-15 years) at the weekend.Racing continues March 3 at Southside Raceway in St David’s.
