Rich clubs will always get what they want

Now with Liverpool: Andy Carroll

West Ham had a good result this week and I am happy that we were able to capture someone of Robbie Keane's calibre. it will help us in the long run.Victor Obinna is coming on in leaps and bounds and he has the talent and I just hope he continues to do what he has been doing in the last two games. The talking points this week will surely be Andy Carroll's move to Liverpool and Fernando Torres' move to Chelsea. I think both moves have made the respective teams better. You have to remember that at the professional clubs everyone wants to win, and lots of times, especially now, it is about who has the biggest purse, and you have someone like Torres who is a good player and everyone would want him in their team. With that being said it will come at a very high price to get him and in pro sports, not just in football, every team spends money.Look at the New York Yankees and Alex Rodriguez, he signed for 200 million odd dollars, so it isn't just in football and it's the climate of winning. If you want to be involved in it, you have to have that sort of money.Once Rafa Benitez left I had a feeling Torres would want to get out of there because that was the man who brought him in and at the time they didn't seem to be heading to Champions League. That type of football is the best and every player wants to be involved and it is the biggest competition after the World Cup in the world so I understant from his point of view. You want to play with the best and be playing against the best.Going to Chelsea only improves his chances of winning a title and he just needs to put his head down and produce the goods.Chelsea, by spending the money they did, can do what they want so the UEFA finance rule won't mean much to them. When you have a billionaire owner, millions mean nothing and he has so much money that spending $27 million for two players is nothing to him.I think they have a chance to do well and playing along with Didier Drogba and Nicholas Anelka, Torres will cause problems for any defence. They will get money back with Torres jerseys, so it all works itself out. With all this being said, the match this weekend sets up to be interesting and it won't be easy for Liverpool. They do have Suarez and people say he won't be able to score as he did in Holland, but if you score goals you score goals so it won't matter what country he is in.Andy Carroll is young and full of potential and it will all pan out for them.Everyone is saying he is so young but January is a crazy time in football and has been for the past couple of years.Liverpool have taken the initiative of saying that they have lost their striker but have brought in the best young striker in England and I hope he lives up to expectations and has a good career. He looks strong, good in the air and the game hasn't had someone like that since Alan Shearer and it's nice to have a player that can stick his head out and get onto balls. It's not going to be easy for Newcastle, by selling one of your best assets they have made it hard for themselves, they have just been promoted and have now sold one of their best players.Time will tell how this affects Newcastle, but they have made life very difficult for themselves and they need to find someone who can score goals for them now.
