• The Elbow Beach Iyengar Yoga Centre invites you to a Weekend Yoga Intensive Workshop from Friday, March 11, to Sunday, March 13. The workshop will run from 6pm to 9pm on the Friday, and then from 9am until 1pm on the Saturday and Sunday, and is a rare opportunity to be taught by visiting senior Iyengar reacher, Richard Agar Ward, from the UK, who has more than 38 years of Iyengar Yoga teaching experience. The cost of this three-day weekend workshop is $300. One year of yoga experience is required and advance booking is essential. • Promising that you’ll never see this much live music in one place, in one night, Family Centre invites you to Celebrate the Night at its annual fundraising event on Saturday, March 12. From 7pm at Fourways Inn, you can enjoy a mix and mingle evening of live entertainment, dancing, great food and drinks. The cost is $65 per person and tickets are available from Fourways Inn, La Trattoria, Family Centre and online at www.BDAtix.bm. This event is for those 16 and older. • Learn tips and tricks of how to make amazing prints without a lot of material, mess or cost at Printing Without a Press with Raziya Swan on Sunday, March 13. This workshop will run from 10.30am until 1pm at the Bermuda Arts Centre in Dockyard and students will take home carved stamps (as many as they can make depending on how fast they work and the amount of speedy carve block they bring). Participants will learn how to carve their own stamps using carving tools and easy to cut rubber plates; make and take away their own hand- carved rubber stamps; and watch demonstrations how to make their own printmaking plates using styrofoam trays, foam sheets, cardboard, hot glue and other found and household items (rubber matting, lace etc). • The Bermuda Arts Centre at Dockyard are opening their Members’ Show, featuring anything and everything to do with the theme Green on Sunday, March 13. The opening reception will be from 3.30pm until 5.30pm. The show will remain open until April 15 and admission is free. The Arts Centre is open daily from 11am until 4pm, except for Good Friday and Christmas Day, and is wheelchair accessible. The Arts Centre will be closed on Mondays. • You liked them so much, they have been brought back — the Hamilton Princess is offering two more opportunities to learn how to make sweet treats at the Spring Pastry Cooking Class on Sunday, March 13 and 20. From 2pm in Crown & Anchor Restaurant, you can join executive pastry chef Kevin Pannier as he demonstrates how to create mouth-watering pastries and desserts. He’ll be sure to ask you to join in to help so be prepared to roll up those sleeves. • US Consul General Mary Ellen Koenig and Bishop Nicholas Dill invite you to the free public concert Harvard in Hamilton for the Hungry X on Thursday, March 17. From 12.15pm until 1.15pm at the Anglican Cathedral on Church Street, the concert will feature the musical talents of the Harvard Krokodiloes, the Radcliffe Pitches, the Harvard Din and Tonics, and Bermuda’s own En Harmony. • The 2016 Ariel Re Bermuda Sevens will be on Friday and Saturday, March 18 and 19. An official event of Bermuda Rugby and Bermuda Tourism, the tournament brings the very best in high school and college rugby to the Bermuda National Sports Centre, Bermuda’s premier sporting event venue. The inaugural two-day sevens tournament will feature pool play on Friday with championship matches culminating on the Saturday. There is no admission fee.
