Honours student keeps her study habits in focus
Try to understand subjects that you enjoy, as they would be easier to focus on, said Honour Roll student Whitnii Levon.
Whitnii has always been on the Honour Roll and an "A" student, but unlike many who have to toil over their grades, she often gets it right off.
She said: "My aim is to avoid having to study at all, I find it best if I pay close attention in class and understand it the first time.
"I hand in all assignments after they are completed."
This Warwick Academy student has learned to block out distractions when she is completing her homework and often listens to music.
"My favourite subjects are English and IT and worst is Chemistry. I am currently studying for the GCSE exams," said the 16 year old.
When she is not doing dance lessons in ballet, jazz, tap or Latin dance, she spends her time reading.
She said: "My favourite book at the moment is Toni Morrison's 'The Bluest Eye'.
Although she is not sure exactly where she wants to attend University, she has a passion for French and foreign cultures.
Whitnii said: "I would like to study English Literature at University and my aim is to be a contributor to education."
She suggests that students who are having a tough time at school to focus in on what they like as it is easier.
