470 containers arrive this week
The Rio Para will arrive from Salem, New Jersey, tomorrow (Thurs) to discharge 135 containers, including 22 reefers and two flatracks.
The vessel, a temporary replacement for the Bermuda Islander, which is experiencing mechanical problems, is scheduled to leave the Island at 8.05 a.m. on Friday.
George Butterfield of Meyer Freight said the Somers Isles arrived at Hamilton Docks at 8.30 a.m. yesterday, on its trip from Fernandina Beach, Florida.
It discharged 170 containers including five reefers and a sailboat mast, and was expected to sail from Bermuda this morning at 8 a.m. to head back to Fernandina Beach.
The Oleander arrived on Sunday carrying 119 dry containers, 46 refrigerated containers, two man lifts and seven cars. It left Bermuda yesterday.
