Five see red in Scottish bust-up

LONDON (Reuters) – The Scottish Football Association will investigate the tunnel flare-up after Hamilton's 2-1 win over Hearts yesterday, where three post-match red cards were issued following two shown to Hearts players during the game.

"The Scottish FA will conduct a full investigation into events that occurred in the aftermath of the Premier League game between Hamilton Academical and Heart of Midlothian," the SFA said in a statement.

Visitors Hearts finished the Scottish Premier League game with nine men after captain Michael Stewart and defender Ismael Bouzid were sent off – Stewart then comically landing on his bottom after kicking out in anger while walking down the tunnel.

There was no laughing after the game, however, when players and club officials clashed in the tunnel, with red cards for two more Hearts players, Ian Black and Suso Santana, as well as Hamilton's Leon Knight.

The match had begun with a minute's silence as a mark of respect for a teenaged Hamilton supporter who died suddenly during the week.

On Saturday, Georgios Samaras scored two goals to help Celtic beat Aberdeen 3-0 and cement their lead at the top.

Samaras' second-half goals came after Scott McDonald had given Celtic the lead in the 39th minute when he connected with Andreas Hinkel's cross.

Samaras headed in Celtic's second goal in the 52nd after Aiden McGeady's cross found him unmarked in the penalty area, and the Greek striker completed the scoring in the 76th.

Celtic are two points ahead of Rangers, who won 3-1 at Falkirk thanks to two goals from Kris Boyd.

Boyd opened the scoring in the 17th with his 150th goal in the Scottish league. His second came in the 36th, after a quick counter attack from Rangers' own half ended with Kenny Miller crossing for Boyd to score.

Pedro Moutinho pulled a goal back for Falkirk in the 41st, but Miller's penalty in the 74th secured the victory for Rangers.

Dundee United beat St. Mirren 3-2, Kilmarnock won at St. Johnstone 1-0 and Hibernian beat Motherwell 2-0.
