April 29, 2013Dear Sir,I agree with Greenrock that we need to use less plastic and paper bags. I disagree with their suggestion of having the consumer pay extra to use one. After all I re-use the bags, so I do need them.I suggest the retail sector offer money back, or a discount for their customers who choose not to use plastic or paper bags. After all aren’t they saving costs by not having to buy so many bags? Why not pass that unto their customer? If I were a tourist shopping here, I wouldn’t be too happy having to pay for bags on top of how expensive it is to shop here. If you offer people something in return for changing their ways, you are more apt to get people to try it.TURNING GREENPembroke
