360networks delays release of second quarter results

VANCOUVER, British Columbia (Reuters) - TeleBermuda International owner 360networks Inc. pushed back the expected release date for its second quarter results on Friday, saying they will be out "by the end of September".

The troubled network builder, which filed for court protection from creditors in Canada and the United States in June, had predicted the results would be released by Sept. 15.

"This delay is due to additional requirements related to the respective credin and insolvency proceedings," the Vancouver-headquartered company said Friday.

360networks once planned to build a worldwide fiber optic network, but has been trying to reorganise itself by selling its non-North American assets.

The company's shares closed up 0.5 Canadian cents at 12.5 Canadian cents on the Toronto Stock Exchange on Friday.
