Ever fancied buying a luxury home that you could take with you anywhere in the world? Well Bermudians will have a chance to buy into a new kind of condo living in April, when the World of ResidenSea docks on the Island.

And Bermuda realtor Sinclair Realty has secured the exclusive right to sell the new "living concept" - a moving, floating house 24/7.

As an affiliate of Christie's real estate section, Sinclair Realty will be able to show potential clients from the Island around the sumptuous apartments available on the ship.

The World of ResidenSea was created as the "world's first luxury community at sea" and will be launched on March 6, when it begins its continuous circumnavigation of the world "in pursuit of natural, historic and cultural attractions on every continent".

"This is a perfect lifestyle option for our clients," said John Sinclair, managing broker of Sinclair Realty.

"It allows them to travel the world without leaving home. In essence a resident of The World will have a luxurious home in every major port."

Sinclair Realty is well-known on the Island as being an exclusive realtor with top end clients and houses, and has a history of dealing with high net worth individuals and multi-million dollar homes.

And not just any one will be able to afford the apartments which are priced between $2.25 million and $7.4 million each. Bermudians will be given the opportunity to view the apartments on April 22 when the ship comes into dock.

There are 110 apartments on the 644 foot vessel, which does 19 knots and has 88 guest suites. 80 percent of the permanent homes have already been sold and reserved.

There are also guest suites for staff or relatives to have which are priced at $680,000. Rentals start at $2,100 a day.

The private homes range from 1,100 square feet to 3,250 square feet with five different floor plans with two or three bedrooms and baths.

The interiors are sumptuous and have been designed by internationally renowned interior decorators and have terraces with a spa, so you can sip your cocktail in the jacuzzi while literally watching the world go by.

They all have complete kitchens, and there are many restaurants on several different levels as well two pools, shops and a concert and film theatre.

It also has golf simulators and driving ranges, a real-grass putting green, full size tennis and paddle courts and a jogging track.

There is a business centre with satellite communications and internet connections, a print shop, personal computers as well as secretarial services, translators and private meeting and dining rooms.
