ACT announces appointments

Applied Computer Technologies (ACT) has appointed Christian Blais to the position of Manager, Professional Services.

ACT said Mr. Blais has 15 years of experience in the IT industry and came to the company from Hewlett-Packard where he was responsible for HP's professional services business in the financial industry.

In his new role, Mr. Blais is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Professional Services Division and developing effective business development strategies for the expansion of the professional consulting portion at ACT.

ACT also has new staff members in their sales and technical departments.

Shafiq Ebrahim has been appointed as ACT's senior account manager.

ACT reported that Mr. Ebrahim has ten years experience in the IT industry including considerable experience in situational and target account management and development.

Prior to joining the company he held the role of Account Executive for DELL Computer Corporation (Canada) where he was responsible for managing large corporate Fortune 500 accounts primarily in the financial sector.

ACT reported that his responsibilities will include enhanced revenue generation as well as day-to-day management and development of a number of ACT `Top 20' accounts.

David Korsunsky has been appointed as a senior service technician for ACT.

Prior to joining the company, Mr. Korunsky spent more than two years working as a systems technician for Kortex Computer, a large computer reseller in Canada.

He received his Bachelor of Science (Mathematics) from the University of Winnipeg and holds the following certifications: Microsoft MCSE + I, Compaq Master ASE, CompTIA A+ and N+.
