The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index gained 26.54 points yesterday to close at 4,401.09.

On a moderate day of trading, Argus led the advancers, gaining 50 cents to close at $14.50 on volume of 200 shares.

Butterfield Bank rose 25 cents to close at $56 as 1,488 shares changed hands and Bermuda Aviation Services gained 5 cents to close at $6.30 as investors traded in 100,000.

Masters Limited was the only issue to decline, losing $1 to close at $15 on volume of 100 shares.

The total value of the shares bought and sold on the BSX yesterday was $714,609.00 and the overall volume of shares was 101,788.
