Bank of Bermuda shares fell yesterday to below the value of Bank of Butterfield stock - to $34.25 pushing down The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange index by over 1 percent.

Bermuda's biggest bank's stock fell by 2.1 percent or 75 cents. Bank of Butterfield last traded at $35 on Thursday.

BF&M stock also lost ground, dipping 25 cents or 2.4 percent to close at $10.00.

The index closed down 24.92 points or 1.01 percent to 2,437.31 on a volume of 9,500 shares worth $133,875.
