A rise in the price of Bank of Butterfield stock pushed up the Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock index yesterday.

Bermuda's oldest bank's share price rose 95 cents to close at $35.50. No other stocks traded.

The index closed up 23.04 points or 0.91 percent on a volume of 1,600 shares worth $56,450.
