Bank of Butterfield gained 90 cents or 3.2 percent yesterday to close at $29.00 on a sluggish day of trading on the Bermuda Stock Exchange.

No other shares changed price and Bank of Bermuda shares closed unchanged at $43.50.

The index rose 0.85 percent or 20.28 points on a volume of 2,680 shares worth $65,094.50. No bonds traded.
