The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index closed down 3.44 points in heavy trading yesterday to close at 2,349.52.

The only stock to change value was insurer BF&M which closed down 50 cents at $10.25 on volume of 281 shares.

But a whopping 29,100 shares of Bank of Butterfield shares traded unchanged, giving the exchange a total volume of 29,491 shares worth $920,057 for the day.
