BSX closes down 47 points for week
The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange index fell 47.400 points, or 2.02 percent, last week to close at 2,351.71.
Island Press (Holdings) climbed $1 to $6 on a volume of 42,272 shares. Island Press 8% notes fell 30 cents to $4.
Belco Holdings Ltd. ended the week 50 cents higher on a volume of 2,161 shares to $32.50.
LOM (Holdings) was up 15 cents to $1.95 as 5,000 shares traded hands.
Bank of Butterfield jumped 15 cents on a volume of 4,206 shares to close at $33. Bermuda Commercial Bank also ended the week on a positive note adding five cents to its share price to $6.50.
Bank of Bermuda, meanwhile, shed $1.75 on light volume of 418 shares to close at $33.25.
Slightly over 70,000 shares were traded during the week worth $589,881.85. Bermuda Bakery saw light volume of 20 shares traded but was unchanged at $35. There were 3,500 shares of BF&M Ltd. traded but the stock was unchanged at $10.
Seven hundred shares of Argus Insurance changed hands but its stock price was unchanged at $19.50.
