BSX Index drops 62 points for week
The Bermuda Stock Exchange index fell 62 points last week in a busy week of trading which saw $5.7 million worth of shares change hands.
The main drop in the index came from Bank of Butterfield shares which lost 7.94 percent or $2.50 to close at $29.00.
Bermuda Commercial Bank dropped 55 cents or 7.28 percent to close at $7.00.
Bank of Bermuda remained unchanged at $40.00. LOM, on the other hand, rallied slightly, up 2.74 percent or ten cents to close at $3.75.
BF&M preferred shares lost 70 cents to finish at $11.30, and Bermuda Aviation Services lost 85 cents or nearly 12 percent to close at $6.25 and BELCO lost 50 cents to finish at $25.00.
Corporation of Hamilton Bonds gained $4.00 to close at $106, BTC Bermuda dollar bonds fell 50 cents to $96.50 and Bermuda Hospital Bermuda Dollar bonds fell $1.05 to finish at $105.
The index closed down 62.106 points at 2,295.70 on a volume of 162,574 shares worth $5,719,848.25 and 26,860 bonds worth $27,532.40.
