BSX Index drops 8.65 points

The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange index fell 8.65 points or 0.36 percent yesterday to close at 2,361.88. A total of 2,266 shares worth $63,833.50 were traded.
Bank stocks were mixed with the Bank of Bermuda falling 70 cents or 1.6 percent to close at $42.50 after just 100 shares were traded. The Bank of Butterfield on the other hand gained 50 cents or 1.8 percent to close at $29 after 2,046 shares were traded.
The only other issue to be traded yesterday was BF&M warrants which slid 20 cents or 1.6 percent to close at $12.25 after 120 shares were traded.
