The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index gained 3.44 points or 0.13 percent yesterday to close at 2,599. A total of 16,331 shares worth $544,091 were traded.

The Bank of Bermuda fell 25 cents or 0.6 percent to close at $43.25 on volume of 6,800 shares. The Bank of Butterfield however, gained 50 cents or 1.6 percent to close at $32.50 after 6,531 shares were traded. The only other issue to be traded was BF&M warrants which fell 25 cents or two percent to close at $12.50 on volume of 3,000.
