BSX Index slumps as bank shares fall
The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange fell 78.72 points - or more than three percent - yesterday to close at 2,332.91, with Bank of Bermuda shares dominating trading.
The Bank saw its share price fall $2 to close at $42 after trading 18,696 shares.
A number of other BSX listed companies also saw their share prices fall. BELCO Holdings shares fell $1.50 to $24.50, while 3,752 shares moved.
Key Tech - the parent company of BTC, Logic and part-owner of Cablevision - lost $1.25 on its share price to close at $40.50. The company saw trading of 3,300 shares.
The share price for Watlington Waterworks dropped 50 cents, and the utility saw 2,505 shares change hands. The Bank of N.T. Butterfield also saw a price drop of 50 cents on its stock, with trading of 848 shares.
