Moderate day of trading on BSX

The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index gained 32.36 points yesterday to close at 4,449.85.

On a moderate day of trading Butterfield Bank rose 50 cents to close at $56.50 as investors traded in 15,234 shares and Argus rose 25 cents to close at $15 on volume of 2,000 shares.

While no other issues changed hands BF&M traded in 1,000 shares to close unchanged at $18.50 and Belco traded in 52 shares to close unchanged at $38.75.

The total value of the shares bought and sold on the BSX yesterday was $909,004.30 and the overall volume of shares was 18,286.
