BSX slips 5.83 points

Over $1.7 million in shares changed hands yesterday on the Bermuda Stock Exchange, but the index dipped marginally after a drop in the price of Bank of Butterfield stock. Bank of Butterfield stock lost 90 cents to close at $28.10, which was balanced out by Bank of Bermuda, which gained 50 cents to close at $44.00 and traded 40,000 shares. LOM gained 35 cents to finish at $3.85. No other stocks changed price.

The index fell 5.83 points or 0.24 percent to close at 2,386.89 on a volume of 41,770 shares worth $1,764,891.35. No bonds changed hands.
