The index dropped 5.63 points or 0.23 percent with 16,500 shares worth $506,625 trading hands and the only two active issues were the Bank of Butterfield which lost 25 cents to close at $31.75, and Argus Insurance Co. Ltd which remained unchanged at $26 despite 3,000 shares being traded.
The BSX was also informed by Shroders (Bermuda) Ltd, yesterday that as a result of Tuesday's tragedy, they suspended the NAV calculation for several of their listed funds until further notice.
In addition, and due to unreliable valuations on Japanese equities, pricing and dealing will be suspended in all funds with Japanese equity exposure.
