Busy week on Bermuda Stock Exchange
Over $5.6 million worth of stock moved on the Bermuda Stock Exchange in a bumper week of trading last week.
The biggest volume was in Bank of Bermuda shares, which overall gained 50 cents after yo-yoing during the week and traded over 60,000 shares.
Then Belco Holdings had the biggest volume, trading nearly 25, 000 shares which overall stayed unchanged at $24.50.
The floatation of LOM on the market made it the third biggest trade during the week, with 28,400 stocks changing hands, closing as it had opened at $4.
Bermuda Commerical bank gained 15 cents to close at $8.00 but Bank of Butterfield remained unchanged at $32.50.
Kentucky Fried Chicken lost 50 cents to close at $4.50 and Masters Ltd lost $1.60 to finish at $5.25.
Argus and BF&M both lost 50 cents to close at $25 and $8.50 respectively. BF&M preferred shares gained 25 cents.
BTC's 7 3/4 Bermuda Dollar issues lost 50 cents to finish at $96.00.
The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange index closed up 9.6 points or 0.36 percent on a volume of 179,905 shares worth $5,626,226.75 and 70,890 bonds worth $68,054.40.
