The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index gained 11.94 points yesterday to close at 4,374.95.

Butterfield Bank was the only issue to advance as it rose 25 cents to close at $55.75 on volume of 3,566.

Bermuda Commercial Bank held at $8.25 on volume of just 13 shares.

The total value of the shares bought and sold on the BSX yesterday was $198,786.15 and the overall volume of shares was 3,579.

LOM(Holdings) Ltd?s share price fall from $4.50 to $2.30on Wednesday occurred because the shares were trading ex-dividend for the first time. LOMissued a special dividend of $1 per share which took effect from Wednesday.
