Christmas cash: BD$91.1m

The Bermuda Monetary Authority announced on Sunday that the amount of Bermuda Dollar notes and coins in circulation over the coming holiday period will be BD$91.1 million.
This compares with a total of BD$88.3 million at the same point last year, an increase of 3.17 percent.
The total amount of notes and coins issued to the banks by the Bermuda Monetary Authority between December 1 and December 21 was BD$8.8 million.
This compares with a figure of BD$8.2 million during the same period last year.
Christmas is traditionally a period when the figure for notes and coins in circulation rises. This seasonal peak is normally reversed very quickly after the holiday.
