Jardine Matheson Holdings Ltd. announced on Tuesday that George Ho is retiring from the Board at the year end. Mr. Ho has served as a non-executive director of the Group's holding company since 1981.

Henry Keswick, chairman of Jardine Matheson Holdings, said: “We are extremely grateful to George Ho for his extensive contribution to Jardines over many years. We are pleased that he will continue on the board of Group company Hongkong Land Holdings.”

Jenkin Hui replaced Mr. Ho as a non-executive director with effect from Wednesday.

Mr Hui is a director of Central Development Ltd and a number of property and investment companies in Hong Kong. He is also a director of Jardine Strategic Holdings and Hongkong Land Holdings. Jardine Matheson Group's business interests include Jardine Pacific, Jardine Motors Group, Hongkong Land, Mandarin Oriental, Dairy Farm, Cycle & Carriage and Jardine Lloyd Thompson. These operations, employ some 130,000 people. Hongkong Land announced that Dr. Richard Lee has been appointed a non-executive director of the Company with effect from Wednesday.

Dr. Lee is chairman of TAL Apparel and his principal business

interests are in the manufacturing of textiles and apparel in Southeast Asia. He is currently a director of Mandarin Oriental and Jardine Matheson Holdings. Hongkong Land is a leading property and infrastructure investment,

management and development group. The Group owns and manages some five million square. ft of prime office and retail space in the heart of Hong Kong's Central business district.

Businessman and author Geoffrey Elliott has resigned as a director of the Bank of Bermuda.

Mr. Elliott, who was due to stand for re-election at the bank's 2003 Annual General Meeting, has expressed his wish to step down earlier in order to finish his current book project and to meet a heavy schedule of other personal engagements, according to a bank press release.
