Intelsat delays results again
Intelsat Ltd., a Bermuda-based provider of satellite communications services, delayed its fourth-quarter earnings release for the second time, saying it needs more time to complete the report.
The company doesn't expect to file its 10-K form with the US Securities and Exchange Commission by today's deadline, Intelsat said in a statement. The company was scheduled to report earnings for the quarter and full year yesterday.
Intelsat first delayed its earnings release on March 21, citing "unanticipated delays" related to its registration statement with the SEC. Closely held Intelsat last August agreed to buy competitor PanAmSat Holding Corp. for $3.2 billion cash to form the world's largest commercial satellite operator.
Shares of Wilton, Connecticut-based PanAmSat fell 1 cent to $24.79 at 10:27 a.m. in New York Stock Exchange composite trading.
Intelsat spokeswoman Dianne VanBeber didn't immediately return a phone call seeking comment. ? Bloomberg
